Pastor Bugingo’s Church Faces Closure Over Noise Pollution

Paster Bugingo’s House of prayer ministries church located in Makerere Kikoni, has come under criticism from neighbors over producing loud noise that makes people staying in the nearby places fail to sleep during the day and night.

This has forced Hajji Ali Sserunjogi the former Democratic Party vice chairman to drag Pastor Bugingo to high division court demanding authorities to terminate the license given to the pastor to run the church and also demands that Pastor Bugingo pays them damages for infringing on their right to enjoy a serene and health environment.
According to the national environment noise standards, no person is allowed to emit noise if it’s is clearly audible at a point of reception or in the neighborhood for more than two minutes or is within the prohibited time in a residential area or Noise Control Zone as determined by the local council.
