Legendary TP Mazembe and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) goalkeeper, Robert Kidiaba, has been declared winner of the Lubumbashi parliamentary seat. Tension has been high in DRC over the delay of announcement of results of the hotly contested elections held in December.
Kidiaba, who is famed for his unique bum shuffle goal celebration which involves bouncing around his penalty area on his backside joined competitive politics in 2015. The decorated shot-stopper made his debut for the national team in 2002, and has since featured in 11 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches for the central African nation. Aside from his illustrious football career, the shot-stopper also worked as an ambassador for the Peace One Day charity.
